I finished this piece late last night (see image). I just remembered that I started it shortly after coming down with a rare neurological syndrome, called brachial neuritis. My left arm was paralyzed (I have since made a full recovery). The early work on this piece was done with my right hand supporting my left hand (I’m left-handed). I am so grateful to have regained both complete range of motion and my strength.
Now I can start working on something new. I never start a new drawing/painting until I have completed the current one. I don’t read more than one book at the same time.
I received some good news this week. I found out that “Another World” was selected to be included in Prince Street Gallery’s Fifth National Juried Exhibition (judged by Yvonne Jacquette). The exhibit opens on June 23rd.
