Here is another scratchboard and ink piece that is part of my Neuron Series. When my friend Jeanne was in hospice last summer and at a not quite lucid moment she asked me how the squirrels were coming along. I knew at that time that I would do a squirrel piece at some time in the future.

This is a lovely piece Nancy, I really like the way the squirrel fits so perfectly in the format, and you have got the softness of its fur beautifully. That was a nice spur to creating this, and will continue to be a memory of your friend.

Thank you, Anna. I have done several birds among neurons and now the squirrel. I am thinking about doing a variety of animals to include in my Neuron Series.
