I had parakeets as a child. My Feb. 17th post was my first bird drawing and I named it after my first parakeet, Candy Marie. As an adult I had a cockatiel named Conehead. Conehead was terrified of my opera-singing dog, Rusty. This is my second bird drawing. I decided against naming him after another childhood pet. I don’t want to get into a naming rut. I’ve spent the last two years making a lot of dog and cat scratchboards. I have really enjoyed making these two bird pieces and plan on doing more.

Such great textures! This is very nice Nancy. I do like your pet stories!
Thank you, Anna. Oh, and I do have a lot of pet stories! Now I just have to make the art and then write the stories to accompany the art.
Lovely, I really liked the close up view. Karen
