I finished this piece last week. It is made with oil paint pens and gold leaf on glass. It is two-sided. The images I show here are of the front and back. I am not sure yet whether it is best to be viewed with light coming through it or not. I am leaning toward not. It is very different than my usual work. I haven’t worked with gold leaf and glass in a while. I used to frequently incorporate gold leaf on my scratchboards.

  1. Thank you Lynda! It may look like stained glass but actual stained glass is a mosaic, which this is not. I have learned of things called “suncatchers,” which are pieces of art meant to hang in front of windows. But I am not sure if this looks best with light coming through it or not. We’ll see.
