This is my most recent scratchboard drawing. It is a drawing of my cousins’ dog, Cosby. For the first time I included more than just the dog’s head in the drawing. I usually do more of a close-up. It could be a new way of approaching these portraits. I welcome thoughts on this topic.
this is great work!

Wow! The detail is wonderful! I had to read the caption again to make sure it wasn’t a photograph.
I just discovered your website, and I’ll be back to browse.
If you like dog stories, you might want to check out my website, http://maijaharrington.com. I’m posting chapters from my book-in-progress, “Funny Tails: Adventures and Misadventures in Living with Pugs,” a lighthearted look at life with our 3 pugs plus various foster pugs from Pug Rescue of North Carolina. Readers tell me it’s pretty funny.

He’s great, and I like having the full body included. He looks as though he is about to go and get involved in something …

Thanks, Anna. I think I will try some more full-bodied poses. It is always good to challenge myself in a new way.
