Darwin

I made seventeen scratchboard animal portraits during 2013. I had never drawn animals before this year. I love the process of making these drawings—I love scratchboard and I love animals. I also have gotten real joy when people say that I capture the personality of their pets. I am very drawn to the pet/person relationship. Anyway, in 2012 I would not have thought that the following year I would start drawing cats and dogs. That is what I like about my life—I continue to learn and find new and surprising passions.
