Dandelions conjure up my early childhood when we moved from Brooklyn to Long Island. We had many dandelions, which were considered weeds, in our backyard. When my grandfather came to visit from Brooklyn he admired the dandelions. I always thought they were beautiful too and hated that they were called weeds. I kind of identified with them.
